Ms. McMahon had only one intention in forming McMahon & Associates Criminal Defense, Ltd.-- to provide the best possible criminal defense representation available. She set about doing this in two ways: by hiring attorneys who have the same sense of passion for justice and commitment to providing the best representation possible to each client; and by limiting the firm's practice exclusively to criminal defense so that the attorneys could acquire unmatched expertise. Ms. McMahon is recognized for her expertise in criminal law and is known for her thorough and aggresive defense. She was selected by her peers as a Super Lawyer in criminal defense only one and a half years out of law school (an honor usually only bestowed on those with at least ten years of practice). Ms. McMahon also serves as a federal district court appointee to a panel of criminal defense attorneys designated to represent indigent persons charged with a crime in federal court. Ms. McMahon has taught other lawyers and is routinely asked to speak at high schools and colleges about the role of a criminal defense attorney in the criminal justice system. Ms. McMahon is a member of the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
